Nancy Lee Neu, formerly of Stillwater and Minnetonka, MN, and Milwaukee, WI, died Sunday Jan 2, 2011, at Peppi's House - TMC Hospice in Tucson from metastatic inflammatory breast cancer. She was 73.
Nancy took great joy in traveling globally, and for nearly 50 years took frequent trips to China and Hong Kong, some of her favorite destinations. She retired from Northwest Airlines (North Central) as a Customer Service Agent in Minneapolis in 1993, but continued her thirst for cultural knowledge by traveling until her health began to decline. When she wasn't traveling, Nancy became a Licensed Unity Teacher of the Association of Unity Churches, Inc. Her hobbies also included movies, golf and gourmet cooking.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father George W., mother Henrietta Wiedmeyer, brother Kenneth and sister Georgia Ann. She is survived by her life partner of 38 years Karen Doolittle of Tucson, special friend Kai Zhu Duell of Beijing, brother William (Carol)Neu of Las Vegas, NV; sisters-in-law Sylvia Neu of Superior, MT; Carole Neu of Columbus, OH; eight nieces and nephews, several great and great-great nieces and nephews, three ‘special’ nephews and their families; aunt Betty Wulff of Menomonee Falls, WI, and several cousins.

The family would like to give special thanks to Nancy’s many ‘special’ physicians and most recently the physicians, nurses and staff at UMC’s Arizona Cancer Center for all they did to enhance Nancy’s quality of life. Special thanks to the entire at-home and in-patient team at TMC Hospice for their care, respect and for creating a comfortable,dignified and peaceful transition for Nancy.

A memorial Mass will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Santa Catalina Catholic Church, 14380 N. Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ. A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Feb. 19, 2011 at Unity South Church, 7950 1st Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55420. Nancy donated her body to the University of Arizona College of Medicine, and cremation will occur at a future date.
