Patricia Huther
January 22, 1927 - March 1, 2010
Patricia Ruth Huther, born in 1927, in St. Louis Missouri, left for her heavenly home March 1, 2010, exactly 23 years after her beloved husband Ted. She was a devoted mother to Donna Huther, Judi Maikoff and Shelley Ambule. She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth McCoy; grandchildren Jaymie Williams, David Figgs, Dani Ambuel and Wesley Maikoff; great-grandchildren Aryna and Wyatt Williams; nieces and nephews Colette, Gary and Jan Philip, Debbie Blevins, Sandra Bush, Karen Healzer and Mark McCoy.
As a child, she was known as Patsy Parsons. She met and married Ted after he returned home from WW2. They became ballroom dancers and canoeists, and although they had many friends and family, they later moved to Tucson, AZ. She and Ted had the good luck of having all their daughters move to Tucson as well as Ted’s father and Pat’s sister Charlotte Philip and her family. Pat was a strong hiker and could hike a trail like a gazelle jumping a stream. She loved birds and wild flowers. She traveled throughout the US and hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon three times, the last at age 63. Pat was a devoted fan of the U of A Wildcat basketball team. A Memorial service to be held in May, date undetermined. Many thanks to Emmanuel Care Home and Evercare Hospice. Donations accepted at Beacon Group, 308 W. Glenn St, Tucson, AZ 85705.
