Born January 18, 1931 to George W. and Lucile M. (nee Quinn) Dier in Santa Monica, CA., passed away peacefully at home in SaddleBrooke, AZ on Sunday, February 7, 2010. George is survived by his wife Barbara nee Earhart; his children Randy (Zaira) Dier of Albuquerque, NM and Diane (Craig) Pittenger of Centralia, WA; step-children Dan (Dee) Daniels of Edmonds, WA, Randy (Elizabeth) Daniels of Cleburne, TX, and Marla (Jeffrey) Kroll of Edmonds, WA; grandchildren Rachel Pittenger and Amber Dier; step-grandchildren Kai Daniels, Jenifer (Jim) Price, Lorelei Kroll, and Ashley Kroll; and his step-great-grandchildren Daniel Roachell, Ashton Price, and Rieley Price. George was a Fire Captain for the Culver City Fire Department for 35 years, served his country for 2 years in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and was an All City Gymnast on the rings from Venice High School in 1948. George was a member of the Motor Cycle Club in SaddleBrooke, was a member of the Tennis Club in SaddleBrooke, and he loved the outdoors. He was a big fan of the Three Stooges, Laurel and Hardy and The Marx Brothers.
