| Claude “Ray” Bartley, 73, passed away on December 25, 2009 in Oro Valley, Arizona, three days before his birthday. He graduated from Oregon College of Education and Portland State University and was an elementary school teacher in Portland Public Schools for 30 years. Ray and his wife, Sally spend half the year in Oro Valley and live in Hillsboro, Oregon during the rest of the year. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Sally Bartley, Ray leaves daughters, Merrill (Steven) Mixer of Sacramento, California and Carol Bartley of Palm Springs, California. He is also survived by grandchildren, Erin (Justin) Green of Portland, Oregon and David Mixer of Sacramento, California; brother Robert (Pat) Bartley of West Linn, Oregon; sister, Sandra Scheffel of Victoria, British Columbia and stepmother, Marie Bartley of Calgary, Alberta. At Ray’s request, no services will be held. |
