Catherine Frances Thompson

July 28, 1942 - December 27, 2009

Catherine F. Thompson (Cathy) 67, of Tucson, AZ and Sister Bay, WI passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Casa de la Luz Hospice, Tucson, AZ. from cancer. She was born July 28, 1942 in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Frank Joseph McCracken and Annabel (Schuett) McCracken. She was a graduate of Elgin High School in 1960. She worked many years as a legal secretary for Brittain, Ketcham Law Firm. She retired to AZ and WI in 1998.

She is survived by her Husband of 25 years, Kenwood (Woody) Thompson of Tucson, AZ. A Daughter Jeanie Schmidt (Todd Seller) of Los Gatos, CA. and a Grandson, Killian J. Seller , Two Stepdaughters, Laura (Dale) Slusarski of Frankfort, IL. and Anne Thompson (J.D. Perkin)of Portland,OR., Three Sisters, Lynneen (Warren) Danielson, Lynda Warner, and Marti McCracken all of Elgin, IL. and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She loved them all.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Sisters Lynn (McCracken) Jurs, and Ellen (Uteg) Parsons, and a Brother, John Uteg.

Cathy loved life and helping others-lifelong friends, family and those in need. She served many causes in her volunteer and charity work. She lived life with great vigor and was an avid health and fitness advocate.
